Job Description

As the Assistant Controller at Promentrs, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Controller in overseeing the company's financial operations and ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting. You'll contribute to maintaining financial controls, assisting in analysis, and optimizing accounting processes.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.  
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting tasks.  
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal controls to safeguard financial data and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline accounting operations and enhance efficiency.  
  • Support the Controller in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, providing valuable insights to aid in decision-making.  
  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing budget performance against established financial targets.  
  • Collaborate with the Controller to coordinate external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit queries.
  • Contribute to implementing corrective actions based on audit findings to maintain compliance.  
  • Conduct financial analysis, including profitability assessments and trend analysis, to support strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in special projects and initiatives, providing financial expertise and support as required.  

Qualifications and Skills  

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; relevant certifications or progress towards certifications (CPA, CMA) are advantageous.  
  • Experience in accounting or financial roles, showcasing a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.  
  • Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.  
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Proactive, innovative, and responsible with a passion for delivering client-centered solutions and effective communication.
