Job Description
The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee the financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in accounting processes. This role involves leading a team, managing financial reporting, and contributing to strategic financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring precision in financial reports.
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support for optimal performance.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the accounting department.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function.
- Conduct financial analysis and present insights to senior management to facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support for various projects and initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or relevant certification, preferred.
- Big 4 Audit Firm experience, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing accounting functions across multiple industries, (e.g., technology, entertainment, retail, CPG, real estate, professional services, etc.). Proven ability to adapt accounting practices to meet the unique needs of different sectors.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, Excel, and other accounting tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proactive, innovative, and responsible with a passion for delivering client-centered solutions and effective communication.
